Everything a body needs

In the last week we’ve experienced what’s expected in London: London Bridge, Tower Bridge, Big Ben changing of the guard, many miles walked, polite people, many confusing subway lines, but also the unexpected: Sunday Roast (didn’t know that was a thing), Yorkshire Pudding (it’s not pudding it’s like bread meant to soak up gravy), STP [not Stone Temple Pilots], sticky toffee pudding, it’s not pudding either more like cake), it is not foggy and I have not seen one identifiable chimney sweep.

One thing that’s the same and identifiable, if you pick the right band, live music. Camden Town specifically and London in general have a lot of it. Last week, we saw, as previously mentioned, Amy Winehouse tribute and a few nights ago we saw Lachlan Bryan and the Wilde at the Green Note in Camden. Small venue, very good show, it’s what we do at home when we can, except there we typically have to drive an hour plus to NYC, cool feature of living in the city. Also saw the Dallas choir at St. Paul’s Cathedral during Evensong services. Kind of a travel hack to get to see St. Paul’s for free, with the added benefit of getting me one step closer to going to heaven!   - Eric
